Very Intelligent and Friendly
“My visit to Hillklyn Palm was truly a transformative experience. I really enjoyed the soft, plush beds, the nutritious meals, worship, and sightseeing in the community. Along with creating sucha home-like environment, Amanda dedicated time for activities that fostered my healing. Coming from city life, I soaked up all the time I could by sitting on the porch. Inhaling the fresh air andbasking in the sunlight was very therapeutic. Besides eating all of Amanda’s delicious meals, sitting outside was my favorite thing to do! The location of Hillklyn Palm is special because being in nature and in the country area kept all my problems at bay. Overall, I felt so happy andstress free. As one who struggles with anxiety and depression, I strongly believe thatundergoing treatment was a pivotal start to my healing. Weeks after returning home, I am still striving to eat fruits and well-balanced vegetarian meals on a daily basis. I highly recommendHillklyn Palm to those struggling with mental illnesses like myself.”

Gave lots of reassurance
True friendship lasts. Benjamin Franklin once said, “A friend in need is a friend indeed!” Almost 30 years ago, I met Amanda in 1995 at the Brooklyn Faith Seventh-Day Adventist Church in New York. As a member of Brooklyn Faith’s prayer group, I quickly realized Amanda’s love for God, prayer, and teaching others about many topics, especially the sanctuary. Her prayer life allowed her to gain much experience as a leader as well as bore many powerful testimonies that were uplifting to me and many others. After living in New York for many years, I was thrilled to learn about Amanda’s relocation to Upstate New York. At this appointed time, God with a beautiful home in a thriving community where many can be healed not only spiritually but mentally and physically. In addition to creating a home away from home, Amanda has the ability to prepare simple yet tasty healthy dishes that satisfy the palate. Through experimentation and learning from her mom, she has evolved into an excellent cook. Recently, I had the privilege to spend a week at Hillklyn Palm and I know that God is extremely pleased. Asa friend, sister, and prayer partner, I am proud of Amanda’s growth and willingness to answer the call of God as she opens her home to others so that they can taste and see that the Lord is good and faithful with all of His promises.”
